A
man of humanity and few words, Mr. Edward Teng disarms his
clients with his on-the-spot dynamic and creative designs.
He started his
designing business in 1981 with meager capital, 20 staff and
few sewing machines. Now in his present shop at Columbian
International, Santol, Sta. Mesa, his workers grew to 80.
The shop can be contacted at tel. nos. 7165731/7165710/7165683.
In 1987 to 1989,
Edward worked in Saudi Arabia as in house designer of the
royal family. "It was a great privilege and honor to
design the clothing's of kings, queen's prince and princess.
It further honed my abilities."
To serve better
his growing clientele, Edward expands his business and made
it into a one stop shop to make it convenient for couples
to have a tension/hassle free event. The shop could help fill
their needs from bridal gown, groom's suit or barong tagalog,
accessories, invitation, flowers, cakes, photo and video,
hair and make-up, entertainers, emcee sound system and events
planner.
In order to ensure
an orderly and systematic flow in his ateliers, Edward has
computerized his operation. Likewise, he hired the services
of an events coordinator to assist customers from budget planning
up to actual event, be it corporate, school homecoming, debut,
kiddie parties and wedding.
A veteran in designing
business, still Edward work indefatigably to sharphen his
craft and keep abreast with the latest design trends. Like
all forms of art, designing requires a constant search for
perfecting one's skill and never-ending process of researching
and studying. In an industry dictated by frequent changes,
it is best to be knowledgeable and well informed of development
in fads, styles and techniques.
There's magic
in dressing! True enough in his 20 years as successful couturier
and designer, he has participated in numerous fashion shows
and exhibit in hotels like Makati Shangrila, Edsa Shangri-la,
Bayview, Ramada, Holiday Inn, NBC Tent, Wedding Library and
Mega Trade.
