The RSVP String Ensemble was Warner Music Philippines' string ensemble of choice for its trailblazing wedding album, "To Have and To Hold" released in 1993. We take pride in the group's high standards, both in the level of musicianship and in the arrangements we use, most of which were written exclusively for the group. Always in the forefront of innovation, we were the first to include songs by Noel Pointer, Kalapana and David Foster in our repertoire 16 years ago. We continue to set the trend with our Starbucks and pop opera arrangements.

Ms. Ma. Carmen N. Echevarria is our musical director, arranger and pianist. A former NAMCYA winner, she took up arranging under Prof. Ryan Cayabyab before studying at the UST Conservatory, where she was an Ernani Cuenco scholar.

After playing for Manila’s top hotels, she was invited to be the pianist of the Brunei Royal Family, a position she held for several years. Upon her return, she played for several theater productions, including Miss Saigon Manila. She was asked to play during the historic state visit of US President Bush to the Philippines. She has also played for Maestro Andrea Bocelli’s Asian tour.
 
We maintain an elite pool of talents meticulously chosen based on their adherence to the RSVP standard of musical excellence and uncompromising professionalism. Among them are orchestra concertmasters and principals, NAMCYA winners, and honor graduates and faculty of the country’s top conservatories.
 
Since its reactivation middle of 2005, RSVP is fast becoming the favorite string ensemble of many concerts. We started with a very successful 17-show series with Bimbo Cerrudo, and will soon start another concert series, this time with Ms. Pinky Marquez. We are also set to play for “Song and Dance” a series of 16 shows to be staged by the Repertory Philippines at the Onstage Greenbelt in February and March, 2007. We have also finished recording the backing tracks for a private client’s album. We have also been tapped to record the backing tracks for “Everything I Need”, the official theme song of The Wedding Expo of Themes and Motifs.

EXCITING DEVELOPMENTS FOR 2007

The end of 2006 saw RSVP finalizing tie-ups with vocalists, hosts, choirs and vocal ensembles. We have coordinated our repertoires so that each of these talents can stage a full performance, concert-style, with full instrumental back-up. Only RSVP can deliver professional musical coordination of this caliber.
