A dream in motion
Slowly unfolds in our hearts,
Love in Bloom Captures.
Love is the most celebrated event in each and everyone’s life. Love
that is best expressed in the countless ways in giving flowers to the
ones we love. A single white rose during courtship; a corsage of
orchids for a prom date; a bundle of eighteen (18) red roses for a
blooming debutante, a bouquet of white tulips and roses for a blushing
bride; a paradise of exotic blooms to salute and witness a wedding; a
garden of flowers to warm a simple home; and any other occasion to
purely celebrate the beauty of life and love.
As a little girl who was sent to live with her grandparents in Cebu by
her parents, Jocelyn Laguna was given the first opportunity to discover
her love for flowers. Tasked to water her grandparents’ small rose
garden every morning, she was able to take pleasure in their beauty as
well as realize her love for flowers when they bloomed as the sun rose
in the east. As a budding entrepreneur, she would sell roses to passing
neighbors. When she got to sell enough flowers, her grandma would give
her share as allowance. It was at that point that she dreamed of
wanting to work with flowers.
When she was in elementary, her love for working with flowers was
reaffirmed when she and her mother went to a pilgrimage for Mama Mary.
Using local flowers such as the gumamela, and tying it like a bouquet
as well as transforming bougainvilleas into a headdress, she and her
mother made it all perfect. “You are an artist by that design!” complimented by the Monsignor. That compliment dwelled in her mind as her mother gave her a kiss and a hug.
In 1994, Jocelyn Laguna Pafin became a florist working first through
her mother in-law’s referrals and catering events needing floral
arrangements. Using that as her foundation, she pursued further studies
through seminars and workshops on flower arrangements and decorations.
As a result of dedicated hard work, creativity and talent her designs
have been part of several bridal fashion shows, bridal exhibits and
fair in EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Makita Shangri-La Hotel,
Intercontinental Hotel, Manila Hotel, Mandarin Hotel, Manila Peninsula
Hotel, Holiday Inn to name several. She is also a member of the IkenoboIkebana Club.
From simple referrals into managing an established flower shop, she has
handled a number of events of floral arrangements varying from weddings
and debuts to corporate social functions such as inaugurations and
awarding carrying the name of her flower shop: Love in Bloom.
Majority of its clientele are functions within the Malacañang palace
for Presidential Security Guards (PSG) and other personnel.
Love In Bloom regards the client with great respect and interest as
well as the integral part of the event. To show such, we confer with
our customers as to the kind of impression they want to portray at the
same time piquing their interests on floral combinations. Part of our
loyalty and honesty towards our clients is our belief in promising
service that we can deliver, and delivering service we promise. As a
result, many of our clientele become repeat clients because of the
experience they have had with our designs, creativity, and character.
