Chito had always been an avid photographer since high school, when elder brother Lionel first taught him the rudiments of the craft. This penchant for capturing beauty on film led him to take up Fine Arts at the University of Santo Tomas. It is also this love for beauty that Chito brings with him in his every photographic work. He knows that a well-taken photograph can not only preserve the beauty of the moment - it can also bring joy long after.

Chito was a protégé of the great Mang Ador Cruz and of Jess Tan, Jr. From Mang Ador, master portraitist and studio photographer of the famous Tropicana Studio in Malabon, Chito learned studio techniques and classical portraiture. From Jess Tan, Associated Press photographer and Pulitzer Prize nominee in photojournalism, he learned the photojournalistic style and audio-visual presentation techniques.

Chito also apprenticed with Rudolf Gonzales of Hawaii, an internationally known artist, where he learned composition and lighting, and refined the artistic appreciation which he brings into his photographs.

With these great mentors, Chito has become adept and responsive to any photographic task and situation. He can easily shift from classical studio portraiture to the modern creative and photojournalism style.

Chito is presently into digital imaging as his new art form. He specializes in weddings, advertising, travel and the industrial field. He is a total and competent artist-photographer who complements his pictures with only the finest local and imported mounts, albums and frames.

Truly, in Chito's hands and through his lens, captured moments can be a thing of lasting beauty.
